NO RIVALRY HERE

That's what Figo is saying to Real Madrid's critics. Ever since the signing of marquee player David Beckham, alot of speculations and rumors arose that Figo might leave Real. This stemmed because of the fact that Figo plows the right flank and so does David. Since both of them are superstars and unquestionably first team players, it's now a question on who's playing the right wing and who'll move to another position. I think Real was intelligent enough to foresee this problem. That's why they hired Carlos Queiroz, who coached Beckham as assistant to Alex Ferguson at United and Figo as skipper of the Portuguese youth side. Now they have a man that both players respect and can easily take orders from. He should know better where David or Figo can play his best football.

Personally, I think Figo is the more versatile player and can easily adapt playing the left wing. David should assume the right wing where his pinpoint crosses will be vital to Real's campaign next season. And then there's Raul, Ronaldo, Zidane, Roberto Carlos, et al. What an all-star cast !

Think my wife's gonna be jealous again when La Liga opens soon. Because I know I'll be superglued to our TV set when the referee blows the starting whistle. Bwahahahaha!

This is going to be fun. Hehe!

BREATHER!

Finally, I'm able to take a breather since I got back two weeks ago from Germany. I had been trying to catch up with my deadlines and luckily I did! My two products were on the priority list for release this quarter(end of July) and it was just suicidal that I still went to that interview. Hehehe! I have to thank my boss though... yes, my boss... for allowing me to take a leave for that interview... and yes, I told him I was going to Germany for that purpose. Pretty tough huh? Nope! Guess, he just understands that it's a once in a lifetime opportunity that I shouldn't miss. My peers were surprised though that I just disappeared without a trace. Hehe!

Now, it's surf time!!!

DRESDEN, GERMANY

My take on panning... Didn't do well though with Tram Number 8 passing by my hotel, Park Plaza. :-(

My feet... on Dresden's one of many cobblestone roads. But getting around on a Mercedes Benz taxi is still quite a ride.

The Three Towers... actually the Kathedrale.

Old and New... the city's baroque architecture served as a nice backdrop to a new technology.

Overwhelmed by the pure romanticism of the place, this couple couldn't help it... and neither did I ! I had to shoot this!!!

Nice flowers on a city apartment's terrace.

TO DEUTSCHLAND AND BACK

With a blink of an eye, I was off to Dresden, Germany last Tuesday and was back here in time for Sunday mass. It was quite an experience of getting that kind of opportunity to have a company pay for all your expenses just so they could do a final interview with you. Because aside from possibly crossing over to greener pastures, I got myself a free vacation --- in Germany at that!

Got more stories to tell and more pictures to show but I'll save those for later. Right now, I'm still at the office taking care of my backlogs... Hehehe!
