HMMP!!

Seems my commenting box had turned against me for some time now. I honestly didn't know that people are/were commenting on my posts. This traitorous act went as far back as my July posts! Geesh! They must have thought I'm a snob!

Good thing suplada brought the whole fiasco to my attention. I was more afraid when I realized I didn't know my YACCS account anymore. But thank God for cookies! My username and password were still saved on my system and I was able to tinker with the comment box settings. That was a close one!

Think it's okay now. I'm just running through the comments again and answering some important queries.

To bea, anp, trixy, jill, mark, reybronx, et al... 'sensya na...

KODAKI KO BEH!

Gerry just uploaded the pictures I sent him from Sunday's Komikero Artists Group meet --- and with the funniest captions to boot! Hahaha!

I like the "balbonic plague" caption best!

KOMIKERO SUNDAY

It has been awhile since I actually sketched outdoors or do anything plein air. The Komikero meet yesterday gave me an excuse to do it again as well as meeting new friends and *famous people*.

I was bent on taking the Alaminos route going to San Pablo but ended up passing by Los Baños(which was a BAD idea!) because I must have took the wrong exit. Traffic was a drag and it took me an extra hour to get there. Since I didn't know where Sampaloc Lake was, I used the most effective way to reach the place - hire a tricycle for me to follow. Hehe! The funny thing was, the tricycle driver didn't want to accept any payment for the trouble. Ang bait naman ng mga taga-San Pablo. But of course, I still gave him the money. I took his kindness in but I knew he needed to pay for his gasoline.

So anyways, I met up with the Komikero group headed by Gerry at the Sampaloc Lake Park which was just beside the lake itself. After awhile, we went down beside the lake and found ourselves a couple of benches where we started sketching and drawing. All in all, I think it was a successful meet and I would love to go there again. The group is a fun bunch sharing their love for comics and sketching/drawing for this matter.

I made two sketches but I have yet to scan them. I took alot of pictures though. Unfortunately, this might take a while to download as I'll be posting around 11 of them.

By the way, I also bought my first indie comic, Jac Strips for You, by Jac Ting Lim. Nice!

GUESS WHO WANTS TO JOIN THE FRAY...

... at Real Madrid? Rivaldo that's who! Yeah, he's that other Brazilian superstar playing alongside Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos among others.

He presently stuck at AC Milan's bench and had only played a few games for his new team since his transfer from Barcelona FC. He was fairly successful in Spain but it's sad to know that he's now languishing at Milan's bench. The arrival of fellow Brazilian, Kaka(that upstart young midfielder), didn't help his cause as the kid is making more first team appearances than Rivaldo.

But now, Ronaldo comes to the rescue and will try to convince Madrid's owner to get Rivaldo. Hmmm, that should be an interesting story to follow in the days to come. A new superstar addition just months after signing Beckham is surely gonna enrage the football world. But what's there to complain about? The best players just want to play with their own kind.

I'm not complaining. Hehehe!

FELT LIKE A THOUSAND BRICKS...

... fell over my leg today. Arggh! The things I would do to lose weight! Hahaha! Well, the weekend torture started with Saturday's badminton workout. Then on Sunday(that's yesterday), I snucked in a hour of badminton again before heading off to church at 9am!

And then at exactly 3pm, football practice started and lasted until six thirty in the evening. I'm so sore today. Think I'll have to scratch off a few badminton skeds this week. Darn it!

WORTH THE EYEBAGS THAT I HAVE NOW

At 2:30am today, I groggily turned on the tv for Real Madrid's encounter against Olympique Marseille to start the Whites' UEFA Champions League campaign. And they did it with enough flourish to keep me excited the whole day today. What can I say, I'm a fanatic.

PAOLO SANTOS

The first time I saw him on tv, I thought that he looked freakishly thin! And he still does looked freakishly thin in person!!!

My wife and I were listening to Michael Bublé's cd at Tower Records Alabang TownCenter and just when we were about to leave, Paolo was strutting in with his guitar in tow. Apparently, he was late for his autograph-signing at 4pm that afternoon because of the monstrous traffic jam that F4 caused at Ortigas.

I don't usually hang around in those free singing gigs but this time around, my wife wanted to hear him sing because the day before, an officemate was raving about his music and she wanted to she if it really was worth raving about.

I guess it was because we bought his cd, PlayList and had it signed by him after. Bwahahahaha! Our first time to line up for an autograph! Haha!

Told him that the cd was for me and my wife. He scribbled, "Enjoy the music. Stay in Love."

Yes, we will. Thanks man!

... Italian teenage boy hitch-hikes 1,200 miles to see Swedish holiday romance "girlfriend", finds out he's dumped !

BOY HITCHES 1,250 MILES TO REKINDLE HOLIDAY ROMANCE

A 15-year-old Italian boy was given the cold shoulder after hitchhiking 1,250 miles to see a Swedish girl he fell in love with on holiday.

The schoolboy met the 17-year-old on holiday in the US and couldn't stop thinking about her when he got home to Milan.

So he hitchhiked to Sweden where he was picked up by police at a service station only 110 miles from his destination of Taeby, near Stockholm.

Police spokesman Mikael Kinaa said: "He told us he was meeting up with his girlfriend living in Stockholm."

Officers found out the boy had been reported missing in Italy, and put his father in touch with the girl's father - who agreed the youngsters could meet up.

However, when the girl's father arrived to pick the boy up, he took him straight to the airport as his daughter had decided he was an already forgotten holiday romance.
